Missions

Definition:

Fulfilling the Great Commission through the prayerful and financial support of evangelism, discipleship, church planting, development of workers, and theological training; ministering to the needs of mankind, both physical and spiritual, as they occur outside the ministry of the local church.

Scriptural Basis of Our Involvement in Missions:

– God always intended to use His children to bless the nations (Gen. 12:1-3)
– God’s plan is for all nations and peoples to praise Him and He will bless them (Psalm 67)
– To obey the Great Commission of Christ (Matt. 28:18-20 Acts 1:8)
– To show Christ’s compassion for the world (Matt. 9:36-38)
– To preach the way of salvation (John 3:16, Romans 10:13-15)
– To edify the body of Christ through discipling and training (Ephesians 4:12-16)
– To minister to the spiritual and physical needs of man (1 John 3:17-18, James 1:27).

We support the spread of the gospel:

– To the local community outside our walls
– To church plants within Canada and in other countries
– Through Bible translation and Bible communication media production
– Through education in hard to reach areas of the world
– To unreached peoples groups.

Walking worthy of the gospel to reach the nations!
