On Sunday we took some time in our service to give an update on the recent ruling of the Supreme Court of Canada in the Trinity Western University case. If you are looking for more information on the history, ruling, and the implications, below is a round-up of some sources. I haven’t read everything that has been written since Friday, and no doubt more will, so this is not exhaustive. If you find other good commentary please pass it along.
After posting this I’m heading to preaching preparation for Psalm 46 this Sunday, which begins:
God is our refuge and our strength,
a very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way,
though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea,
though its waters roar and foam,
though the mountains tremble at its swelling.
