Where does Camp HBC happen?
Camp HBC happens at Hespeler Baptist Church (76 Adam St., Cambridge, ON, N3C 2K5)
What are the camp hours?
Camp hours are from 9:00am-4:00pm. If you need to extend the day for your camper, Extended Care runs from 8:00am-5:00pm for $25 per week.
Are grade requirements for camp as of current or of September 2024?
Good question! The requirements are as of September 2024. That means kids currently in Grade 6, are no longer eligible for our Grades 1-6 camps, and kids currently in Grade 8, are no longer eligible for our Grades 3-8 camps.
Should I pack snacks and lunch for my camper?
Camp HBC provides lunch for campers on Tuesdays and Thursday every week (dietary options available!). Campers should always come with nutritious snacks to get them through the day. Although we usually provide one snack per day, it is wise to pack more than needed for the busy camp days!
Does Camp HBC have safety and child protection policies in place?
Yes! Staff members have First Aid Training. Staff and volunteers have up-to-date Plan to Protect training and current Vulnerable Sector checks. Hespeler Baptist Church abides by an up-to-date Child Protection Policy. We seek to maintain a 1:6 leader to child ratio.
Do you go off-site for trips?
One of the best parts of Camp HBC, are our amazing off-site trips! Typically a week of camp will include a trip to the pool, along with one or two other trips to places like the African Lion Safari or Skyzone. Apart from the pool, we take a chartered school bus to get to our off-site destinations.
When will it find out more information for my week of camp?
You will receive information from Camp HBC regarding the details, schedule and a packing list later in the Spring/Summer. Week specific information is sent out one week before the start of the specific camp.
